The Gallery is open Tuesday-Saturdays 12:00-4:00 PM. An opening recetiopn will be held on Thursday April 5th from 5:00-7:00 PM. Bryan Blanchette a 21st-century Abenaki Singer/Songwriter artist working in a 10,000-year-old tradition in music and performance will play and sing at the reception. The event is free and refreshments will be served.

Vermont Abenaki Artist’s Association Exhibit at the T.W. Wood Gallery

The T. W. Wood Gallery at 46 Barre St. in Montpelier, Vermont, is pleased to announce the Vermont Abenaki Artists Association (VAAA) exhibit from April 3- April 27, 2018. Although many mediums are represented in the exhibit, the unifying theme is all of the art is inspired by Abenaki culture. There will be a free opening reception at the Gallery on Thursday April 5th from 5:00-7:00 pm. Bryan Blanchette a 21st-century Abenaki Singer/Songwriter artist working in a 10,000-year-old tradition in music and performance will play and sing at the reception. The event is free and refreshments will be served. The VAAA exhibit will include Wampum jewelry by Linda Longtoe Sheehan, acrylic paintings by Francine Poitras Jones, watercolors by Amy Hook-Therrien, paintings on gourd by Jeanne Morningstar Kent, fiber art and bark art by Vera Longtoe Sheehan Photography by Diane Stevens.
