  1. Art Exhibit by Merry Schmidt

    February 2, 2018, 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM @ Montpelier Senior Activity Center

    Merry Schmidt will show her watercolor paintings at the Montpelier Senior Activity Center (MSAC). Merry writes, “Teaching full time and raising a family afforded me little time for personal enrichment, but once my nest was empty I started taking various art classes as time permitted... Now that I’m retired, I have more time for creative pursuits... I still don’t consider myself an artist, but I’m working on it.” Merry will donate 15% of sale proceeds to MSAC.

    Join head bread baker from King Arthur Flour and author of "Breaking Bread: A Baker's Journey Home In 75 Recipes," Martin Philip, for a book signing, reading, talk, Q&A, and fresh baked bread samples! Book signing at 5:00 pm; reading & talk at 6:00 pm; bread samples from 6:30-7:00 pm. Free and open to the public. Part of the Montpelier Artwalk.

  3. Great White Sharks in our Backyard

    February 2, 2018, 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM @ North Branch Nature Center

    Spend an evening with Shark Biologist, Lindsay Graff as she discusses the re-emerging population of Great White Sharks that are returning to our New England waters. Learn about their vital importance to our marine ecosystems, and why we need to be supporting shark science and conservation efforts. Go beyond the misguided portrayals, and learn why we should be excited to welcome these apex predators to the neighborhood!
