The T.W. Wood Art Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibit featuring the work of Galen Cheney & Tessa G. O’Brien.
Galen Cheney’s current work is a deepening of an exploration started during a residency in China in 2015. In China, Cheney worked with accumulated papers, building them up into multi-layered constructions.
Tessa G. O’Brien combines representation and process-based abstraction with color and mark-making to describe the experience and memory of places she has known.

The Northern Vermont Artist Association (NVAA) was founded in 1931 by Harold S. Knight and several of his fellow Burlington area contemporaries. The mission of the NVAA has always been “To encourage the study, improve the practice, evaluate the standards and advance the cause of creative art”. Maxfield Parrish was one of the first NVAA artists, and over the decades many important regional artists such as Francis Colburn, Roy Kennedy, Ruth Mould, and Stan Marc Wright have been members. Membership is open to all Northern Vermont visual artists, working in any media.
Reception: October 3rd, 5:00 – 7:00pm
Join us for a chance to view the work, enjoy light refreshments, and meet and greet the artists. Come celebrate with us!

We are a group of parents who know the climate crisis is upon us, and we want to do something about it, while sustaining our activism with humor, and community. We also talk about the trials, joys and tribulations of parenting children who are becoming more and more aware that our planet is struggling.
