  2. Central / Northeast Kingdom Vermont Watercolor Society at The T.W. Wood Gallery

Wood Gallery at 46 Barre St., at the Center for Arts and Learning in Montpelier, Vermont, is pleased to announce an exhibit of the newly combined Central Vermont / Northeast Kingdom Hub of the Vermont Watercolor Society. The Vermont Watercolor Society will exhibit works of Janice Avery, Lisa Beach, Joann DiNicola, Gary Eckhart, Terry Hodgdon, Susan Bull Riley, Michael Ridge and more at the T.W. Wood Gallery, A Museum of American Art. Opening Reception: April 4th, 5:00 -7:00 PM

  3. Ray Brown and Toby Bartles - Steps on a Journey – An Exhibit of Two Vermont Painters

    The T. W. Wood Gallery at 46 Barre St at the Center for Arts and Learning in Montpelier, Vermont is pleased to announce an exhibit of Vermont painters Ray Brown and Toby Bartles. Both artists share much in common with the second generation abstract expressionists, as they both draw influence for painterly choices from immediate surroundings such as landscape or architecture to create inner meaning.

  4. Planting History: Abenaki Planting School

    April 20, 2019, 1:30 PM - 3:30 PM @ Vermont History Museum

    It is almost planting season in Vermont! Join the Vermont Historical Society for "Planting History" a short, two-hour workshop on Historic Abenaki crops and planting techniques, complete with tips on choosing ancient regional crop varieties available locally or online, as well as a examination of brush clearing and designing indigenous-style gardens and fields. As part of the “Seeds of Renewal” exhibit, detailing Vermont Abenaki Food Systems, Guest Curator Fred Wiseman will share his years of experience with these unique crops and the ways that they have been raised by Vermont Abenakis from prehistory to today. Refreshments and packets of VT seeds from High-Mowing Seeds in Wolcott, VT will be also available. The workshop is free, but space is limited.   5. Community Passover Seder

    April 20, 2019, 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Beth Jacob Synagogue

    Rabbi Shana Margolin will lead this community Passover seder. Join in retelling the story of the Exodus from Egypt with readings from the Reconstructionist Haggadah "A Night of Questions." This community event is a friendly gathering of long-time members and people new to the Beth Jacob community. The synagogue will provide matzah, haroset, seder plate foods, hard-boiled eggs, gefilte fish, matzah ball soup, wine, and grape juice. Please bring a Kosher-for-Passover dairy/vegetarian dish to share for side dish, main dish, or dessert. Please remember it has to be kosher for Passover - that means nothing made with flour, corn, rice, millet, or buckwheat (except matzah meal).
