    Weekly trips to birding hot spots around Montpelier searching for spring migrants like warblers, vireos, thrushes, and waterfowl. Led by NBNC’s expert birders. Free for members. $10 non-members.   2. Crabapple Sunday and Mother's Day

    How many crabapple trees can you count on St. Paul Street and School Street between Loomis and Main? Take a walk among all the trees on those two streets and see how many different trees of all types you can identify. Start at Kellogg-Hubbard Library, walk down to St Paul, go down St Paul to Liberty; go back up St. Paul to School, over to Loomis and back up School to Main. What trees did you see? Are the Crabapples all the same type? How can you tell? Find out the answers to these and other important matters on Front Porch Forum on Sunday/Monday!
